Bic Pens & Pencils

Bic Pens & Pencils
A look at Bic pens and mechanical pencils. The folks over at Bic sent me some stuff and I’m finally getting around to looking at it. From the ubiquitous (no pun intended) Bic ball point pen to the new extra-tough mechanical pencils, Bic hits the mark for creating good quality, consumer pens.

  1. why do my gf pens she uses on her word searchs pussle books dry out when 1/2 full..she uses then daily..????thanks for any..any help

  2. Those bic crystal or some say byro? Is very good for sketching or a ballpoint art, i used to use snowman ballpoint pen(indonesian brand) but the bic is just too good and Rp11.000 for 3? Is just too good of a deal

  3. Thank you for the wonderful video! I bought the BIC pencils based on your awesome review here! 🙂 And so happy with them! 🙂 Have you also made a review on Papermate mechanical pencils 0.7mm? 🙂 Thank you again! 🙂

  4. I LOVE BIC PENS, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHICH ARE NOT SOLD IN MY COUNTRY CHILE. I BOUGHT A LOT OF BIC PENS FROM SPAIN AND ENGLAND VIA AMAZON.COM THEY BECAME VERY EXPENSIVE BUT IT WAS WORTH TO DO THAT, DO YOU THING YOU COULD MAKE ANOTHER VIDEO COMPARING THE BIC PENS WHICH ARE SOLD IN THE AMERICAS, EUROPE, ASIA AND AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND? YOU WILL BE SURPRISED BY THE VARIETY AND DIFFERENCES AMONG THEM!!!! ALSO A FRIEND OF MINE SENT ME MANY BIC PENS FROM AUSTRALIA, THEY ARE AMAZING!!!! CONGRATS ON YOUR VIDEO!!!! GREETINGS FROM CHILE

  5. Great video!:) I use Bic Pens for artwork! It's cool Bic is diverse with their manufacturers:) You can also buy the original ones online that are made in France the French version of Bic:) I believe Amazon sells them:) The orange Bic cristal barrel fine point pens or on eBay finding dealers from Europe or mainly U.K. 🙂 The Mexico ones I notice have a more fluid flow when writing:) The European ones are on the other hand less likely to write dark and smooth. Though they are great for the ink to not explode or to leak out the top of the ink tube:) Also for Bic Mechanical pencils the ones made in France which every now in then are slipped into our retail chain stores here, the lead is less likely to back feed:) Since pressing the ones made in Mexico some can have the lead not hold in place tends to back feed into the pencil, but the mechanical pencils made in Mexico tend to write darker and more smoothly without the lead bearking:) Settle minor differences as an artist I notice when using Bic writing instruments: ) All in all they are a great company!:)

  6. loved the darker colours cristals used to have with the maroon red and dirty blue colour inks.

  7. im from australia, so the asia-pacific market range. my number 1 lucky pen i used in school 2003-11 was the old original medium purple cristal you would find in the assorted "5 star" pack with the green ones. i used that as well as the old red cristals that produced dark red lines with the now phased out ink system at times, because it reflected my slight rebellious side against the policies of using only black or blue for writing.
    my favoured pens now are:
the purple cristal which i managed to stock up on before the phase-out,
the papermate 1.2, eagle and writebros for their smooth ink flow,
the bic economy- marginally different from the cristal,
the bic roundstic with its vivid, indigo-purply ink in the blue variety, the schematical simplicity and elegance
the maped freewriter as a cool, streamlined, ergonomical and durable new pen,
the ultra round stic grip, for almost every design feature
bic smoothie, which i can no longer find but is one of the most swish hi quality pens.

  8. I have tried using these over the years and they never work well for me. I just can't do a piece of art using a ball point pen no matter how hard I try!  I need a brush or a Crow Quill pen to do my best work (and at one point rapidographs).

  9. Is there anyone who has not at some point in their lives used (drawn) Bic? Thanks to these wonderful pens I learned to draw in stead of maths.

  10. I prefer fountain pens but still find that the cheap Bic Crystal ballpoints are great to slip into my handbag.

  11. You brought me right back to high school with those classic Bic pens! You forget how well they work and for the price you can't beat em! Thanks for the fun review.

  12. I've never seen those extra strong mechanical pencils before. I used to love drawing with a ballpoint pen in art class at school and of course it was always a Bic Crystal as they are so reliable, cheap and available in several colours. Right now I appear to be sans Bic, but not for long as I want one of those pencils!

  13. I love to draw, but I'm having trouble with the aspect of creativity and discovering my own ideas and creative things to draw. Does any one have any suggestions on discovering one's own creativity?

  14. A Pegasus Duokorn,,,,the first lip rumble at the beginning set the stage for the lay Lady Lay

  15. Peter, I’ve been watching your videos for some time now. Sometimes I use your words as my own, and eat vegetables while I watch you draw lines. Thank you. I enjoy nearly everything you put out there. So much value for a one man channel. You do the work of ten men. Keep it up.

  16. Honestly I clicked on this video for 2 reasons, 1 because of the AWESOME Bob Ross shirt and 2nd because i want to see how well a BIC pen is as "Art" supplies
