Follow my journey to Shinjuku in Tokyo to buy the Fujifilm X100F at some of my favourite camera stores, ever! Unfortunately it was out of stock at Yodabashi, but I was able to pick one up at Bic Camera around the corner!

As a traveller in Japan, you can make the most of tax-free shopping alongside various discounts at stores when purchasing with specific cards (usually Visa or Mastercard). The process is super easy, just make sure you bring your passport and it can be instantly deducted instore!

  1. Regarding the foreign passport 8% and visa/mastercard 6% discount, does it also apply for all purchases or just cameras?

  2. Joe, I love what you do. Your photographs have this vintage feel that I love. Keep up the good work. 👌🏻🖖🏻

  3. don‘t you need to pay the taxes if you import it to your home country? e.g. paying the taxes at arrival?

  4. Enjoyable video(s), nice bloke. However I wouldn't agree any Fuji X can be "better than a DSLR", that's just not true, in my opinion. Good stuff anyway. Going to watch some more. I'm gearing up for a trip to Tokyo next week and your enthusiasm is infectious.

  5. Hi Joe

As you purchased fuji x100f in Japan and soon after flying back to London, can I know the camera under worldwide insurance even you are out of buying contries or not?

    Cheers mate

  6. Hey Joe, Just curious would they allow you to film inside for most of the stores in Tokyo? mostly using the iPhone X with DJI Osmo Mobile 2 Thank you

  7. How do you edit your videos? are they presets? I love the nice cinematic look to it. Much love and can't wait until i go back to Japan

  8. Try to borrow from Fujifilm the new X-H1 for your travel in Japan. And test it there for your vlog.

  9. YouTube should count the number of times a viewer played the same video 🙂 As far as I am concerned, it's like having your video liked many times. Great job.

  10. I enjoyed unboxing my Fujifilm X-T2 as much as you did your X100F. Haven't used it outside yet.

  11. Hey Joe! I just bought X100F brand new from Japan. I started to really have interest in this camera after watching your video. Just wanted to ask you one thing as it wasn't clear in this video. Was the plastic bag – that wrapped the camera body – sealed with Fujifilm sticker? Mine was unsealed and I checked with the retailer and they checked with Fujifilm that it doesn't come sealed with the sticker. It doesn't seem to be the case for other X100F unboxing videos on Youtube. I wonder if yours was also not sealed and if this was an intentional thing by Fujifilm to separate cameras sold in Japan and internationally.
