Newer carb adjusting screws require a special tool on most trimmers. Here is how to make one for nothing more than that free Bic pen you found last year. Check out this video I made a month later and find out WHY I had to adjust the carb! 1. Tried pliers screwdriver, torx bits. Nothing fit. This did the trick. Thank you!! Why they would design it like that it beyond me. But I’ve seen more stupid engineering before so I guess I’m not surprised. Runs like a raped ape!

  2. Dude that is f**** brilliant I've never thought of that but with my weed eater what I did is I took a Dremel tool with a cut off wheel and put two slits on the tops of those adjustment screws and I use a flathead screwdriver to adjust them but

  3. Don't need a bic pen. Use a small flat head and just tske your time and turn them. I turned the low, closest to motor, 1 full turn from factory setting were it was already set, and the high, farthest from motor, one half tuen counter clock wise on both and mine ran like brand new. I bought it for 10 dollars not running and new this is all it needed. It's a tb22ec. 8 months old. Csnt beat for 10 bucks and a 5 min adjustment and it idles all day noe and revs up as it should all the way.

  4. great advice! looks like this wacker is made by one factory for many brands. ya, i am up here in canada and it is the same as the Canadian Tire store brand "Yardworks". i needed to give it nearly a full turn out to run. but i am going to give the other screw (idle) a bit of a turn in. suposedly that is a thing too.
again, this worked. i wrecked thee shite pens, but it worked.

  5. take a drimell with a cut off blade and cut a groove right through the center of the two screws don't matter that you cut through the sides of the collar/ guard whatever you want to call it and cut approximately in redneck terms the thickness of a nickel deep or just a little bit over 1/16th of an inch enough to use a flat screwdriver. OH YEAH ONE MORE THING FUCK THE EPA AND ALL OF THE OTHER STUPID LIBTARD IDIOT SCUM THAT TRY TO TELL YOU WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR OWN SHIT

  6. Hey PP….where can I send the bill for a new laptop keyboard??? lol! I was starting your video and took a drink of my beer just as you said the weed eater was trying to "gum it to death, instead of whack'n it off." As I took my big gulp of Belgian ale and pondered what in gosh's name you meant by "gum it to death"…suddenly the joke hit me (never said I was the quickest dog in the pack) and I spewed the beverage forward, down, and sideways simultaneously, soaking the laptop keyboard in the effort! If that wasn't enough your [likely unintentional] double entendre "…instead of whacking it off" caused me to choke on the remaining gulp of beer….so I guess I need compensation for a computer AND future medical bills! lol. Damn that was funny.
